Picked this rare one at Sandown yesterday!

Rare Derby County with trim. Peter Upton found it for me at sandown yesterday.
One reglue, but still a find!

Excellent team.

I've one that the former owner received at the Baseball Ground, presented by Cloughie himself ....

yes sandown is well worth popping along to as umberto would testify to and i have picked up some decent stuff but this was is the pick.
went 21/5 and picked up a 171 on all red bases and a ref 18 on blue/white bases.
not rare but base combo's less common than the norm.you dont see a ref 18 on that base combo very often,do you?
picked them up from noel mclachlan who also had amongst others 193,190,185 in ref box,LW HP 266.

Got a white HW40 a couple of years ago from a guy in Wales (plus a few of his other teams) - complete with a little handbook that detailed the matches he had played with the team

its a common team but its in great nick and i love it.

also from sandown 171 on all reds.nice

Was sold this as a 'Special.'

Not saying it isn't ... but the jury's still out on it

well what do i know ian but the colours look good.
some would say you shouldnt have sock apint on the boots but i know that is incorrect.

yes they are indeed with good provenance!

not all of mine are from him so try this:-

28 old one from the sicties with great looking base combo and high quality paintwork

and then there is this rare as rocking horse 55 in stamped box with odd base combo

Selling a HW28 with reverse bases like this on ebay at the moment ... you don't often see this base variation.

110 white blue bases - and now i am off to bed as i have to get up ealry in the mornin'!

no its cool isnt it?
sometimes the common teams on simple reversed base with good paintwork is as much of a work of art as the rare ones.
eg,the ref 18 above.luv it!

And yes...Jon had a fair few of my rarer teams. At least i know they are going to a good home, will be cherished, and i can always go and visit and see them again....which is cool.

You did a good job on that 333 Jon...nice one.

My fav and the one i miss the most is the New Hearts... I love that team and base combo.

Yes...agreed and much better than having an iffy ref 21. Nice base combo and ref number...can't go wrong.

This was a find i had all together a while back. Lovelly little box set and 3 nice teams. Can't remember whether it was this exact Oldham or another one, but it was definately these three Teams together.

Wish i'd never cellotaped over some of my labels and box's now though...think i had a frenzy one day, trying to protect them falling off, and repairing split box's....

What does everybody do, leave them and hope for the best, reglue them or something else?
