Subbuteo
My dear husband is so excited for my 30th B-Day party coming up next
weekend, probably more than I am. He ordered a Subbuteo game and had it
shipped from the U.K. for a whopping $147!!!! If I didn't love him so
much I would have killed him, I am the stingiest of the stingy.
Being the Chilean and the Scot that we are, he went ahead and ordered
his favorite team: Celtic -and for me of course: the Chilean team. We
got the package today, I have to say I was so excited so see what it
was all about, I couldn't wait to see the little teams, I'm a sucker for
miniatures. I open the package and notice the Celtic team first, yeah,
light skin, Celtic jersey, it was perfect, adorable. Then I saw the
Chilean team, although the outfit was perfect, the skin color just made
me laugh. It's the color of fiber infused poo.
Don't even try and tell me I'm a racist, black people have beautiful
skin, I'm jealous of it actually -but it's definitely not this color.
The funny thing is that my family makes fun of me for being so white
compared to my other family members...meet my younger brother, he's a
real brown Chilean:
I love him, he's crazy like his older sister. Either way, it will be a fun little game, we'll kick those Scots'
potos either way.

I got D one of these and the characters were very oriental looking,
rather than European. Duh it was imported from China I think.
PS
Its one of the reasons I've never been into dolls. Dolls were always
skinny, white and blonde and I'm Dark-skinned South Asian with bosom and
hip, oh and wavy-curly hair. So its not just subbuteo that gets it
wrong.
