| not sure if any of you have seen whats been going on at the ISF but it is getting to become a bit of a joke recently .too many posts not about subbuteo and constant rows. I think we need to start pushing the Lionhearts more and get some of the members from the ISF onto here .The problem is how can we promote the lionhearts . only way i can think is to pm the members we want to join on here , hopefully we can get a good crowd on here and build the lionhearts . Jon im sure you mentioned at the last meet you wanted to get this site more prominent .Chaps let me know your feelings on a way we can hopefully achieve this | |

| yep it is getting dull in that sense lee and you and i chatted at lionhearts about an example. i am more than happy to post more often on here but it need sothers to follow otherwise you end up talking to yourself dont you? and i do that at home anyway! what i will do is any new threads on subby i will start here and the ISF and see who bites. we have enough memebrs on here now to generate discussions | |

| ISF is not the site it was three or so years ago. People have opinions and will always disagree however I think that there are a few mindless tiffs. I dont get involved. Also Subby/Foggy is like marmite. I feel that there are a few bullies on the green site as well. I feel that if you chat on the correct topics on non subbuteo thats fine. It annoys me when non subby is chatted in the subby sections. I like this site and always enjoy the resources and friendly chat / knowledge....Steve.
Maybe more members needed but then would it end up like the ISF???

| Use the banner and link as your signature when posting on other forums.
Start unique threads. Gully's ROY OF THE ROVERS cartoon strip was a classic, not unlike some of the great threads Fingers used to post on the blue forum.
Not so sure a greater number of members is required, Ute, just a bit more activity from the existing ones would be nice.
As the saying goes, use it or lose it. It's a free forum, but if there is little or no activity it will just be taken down by forumotion. Not sure how they measure it, but if it's idle it will just disappear.

| i hope we can get more guys on here ,i have noticed ian brown, skell and a few of the other main fixtures are nearly non exsistant on the ISF which is real shame as they has a lot to offer . I know they have popped up on here some time ago so would be good if they can post on here in the future | |

| Yes, when Ian Brown first came on here, he suggested quite a few good categories that I swiftly added to the mix, but haven't seen much of him of late, unfortunately.
Was always a top predictor too! Hang on a minute! I'm getting a bit of a conspiracy vibe now that you ( the current champion ) mention his name ... have you done away with 'im?!
Isn't he a moderator on one of the ISF Forums now?

I did post a few of the old ones on the ISF and it seemed to be well received, so If anyone mentions it I can say they'll have to come on here to view.

| Great stuff, Gully!
Would be good to see more of it. Love your imagination and creativity. Definitely have a talent there, and still reckon you could self publish a book at Cafe Press that would sell well within the Subby community.

| Actually folks, it appears the most recent poster on this forum automatically goes to number 1 in the memberlist. http://oldsubbuteo.heavenforum.org/memberlist...and as of 11.08pm this evening that's me! (although Lee is vying for the top spot as I type! | |

Ute It would only end up like the ISF if the ISF mods were running this forum. On this forum, there's Subbuteo, banter, Subby, good-humoured mickey-taking, and more subbuteo. There are no users with signatures that celebrate hooliganism, no slagging off of other members, and very little utter claptrap about goodness knows what, posted by members demonstrating excellence in personal muppetry! If all this came across from the ISF, I'm sure the one of the Lionhearts mods would say: "If Leghorn comes on 'ere and starts posting polls about which spice girl would be most likely to have an affair with Barrack Obama, I would say, Oi! Leghorn, NO! You can make pleasant conversation about HW and LW figures, and have a bit of light-hearted banter with everyone else along the way, but you cannot start drivvling on about non-Subbuteo related issues!!" And then another of the mods would say: "You'd be well within your rights Jon!" And then the first mod would say: "Shut it Steve, I ain't finished!...and if Leghorn then tried to slag off the work of a Subbuteo film crew, based on no evidence whatsoever, I would say NO! You can have a enjoyable chat around the artistic interpretation of various camera angles and the underlying mood music, but you CANNOT cast random dispersions on the good name of those promoting the glorious hobby of Subbuteo to the wider world!
