| You're the biggest culprit, JR! You're always posting questions that are crying out for a poll! | |

| Are you getting this question in before Subbuteoman joins up by any chance? You could stick all the polls in the 'board' section (as no one has used it) | |

| I love the Poles. Great people. Very like the Irish in many ways and I think we all know why. Suffering down the centuries and particularly WW II and afterwards. Loads of them now in Derry and Ireland in general. I love hearing them wandering round talking Polish and all their wee kids, some of whom now have Derry accents which is as funny as f**k ! One of my high lights in the last year was this. I was sitting down by the Foyle ( our great big F**k off River ) on a bench having a fag. And the bench next to me there was a young Polish mum with two small kids and I was listening. I could tell by the tone of her voice she was asking the older one a question of some kind. So the mother asks the question and the little girl ( Primary One or thereabouts ) answers it and goes " Aye Ma " which is pure Derry. I nearly fell off the bench laffin. . Then they carried on talking Polish. One other thing. Polish and Ukrainian Women. Beautiful. Dont start me about them. I have a secret hankering after one called Daria... I even know the Polish Anthem, which is brilliant. " March, March Dabrowski, something something something Polski, diddle deeee, da ,da, da, diddle dee Zvi Modem ". right Spurs you owe me a pint. | |
