| 1. The base must be flicked with the finger nail
2. Only the finger is allowed to move when flicking
An in-direct free kick should be awarded if a player uses an illegal flicking technique
3. Only the flicked figure should be touched
If the attacking player touches another figure, it is a change of possession If a defending player touches another figure, it is a back
4. Figures can be flicked at a moving ball
5. Only the flicking hand is permitted on the pitch

| 7 When making positional flicks it is seemingly permissible to use any part of the body ? indeed use of the finger nail appears to be a lost art..soon an opponent will no doubt flick a player up across his arm around his neck and down his other arm into an attacking position..its only a matter of time.... | |

| The old sideways flick with the side of the finger eh Ralph... Someone did that to me recently. Using the side of their finger and basically dragging the player into position. Nearly on every positional or defending flick... I was tempted to pick it up for them, and actually place it in the position they wanted it to be... | |

| I think in turn, I would have pushed my attacking figure up to the ball, given it a little kiss, and then steered it into a nice shooting position ... ... and smiled, in a kind of smug appreciation for my mastery ... NOT! | |

| Yes, that's OK, Jon. There's no stipulation that the finger has to be bent when flicking. | |
