Leicester City Away 1983-85

These are lovely. I can appreciate how long they must have taken to paint as I am doing Brighton's 2011 kit, which has a similar stripe pattern. Did you paint the yellow on top of the green ?

Yeah the yellow is on top of the green, i'm toying with somenew kit ideas where I may try and paint stripes first.....will have to see, seen your Seagulls, looks good matey very well painted.

Thanks, I'm a relative novice as I've painted less than a dozen teams in total. I think these are the best I've done but I did spend a long time on them. The most difficult bit I found was getting the spacing of the stripes right on such a small area. Obviously the more you do the better you become.

personally it all rests on the first stripe, it's placement is what governs the rest, I've done lots of different types of stripes. This team obviously has 5 stripes therefore the middle stripe was first, I painted a team for my dad today that has 4 stripes and the middle 2 are the first ones, and then with the AC Milan I painted on 2K10's each stripe was painted individually which I think totals 15 individual stripes on the shirt along with that I had to try and squeeze one in under the arms. Handpainting takes practice for sure but, it's the love and want to do it that make your painting better, the more you want to do it the better it is. Keep up the good work my friend, I'm glad btw that you enjoyed painting you Brighton so much as I did with this Leicester, although I sold mine.......

Next team I need to do is the Leicester home 1984 ready for the next solo league. Challenging one this as it has the four thin white stripes with a blue pinstripe in the middle of each. I think Spud posted a thread on the Green Forum some time ago where he scored a line and then dripped a thin solution of paint down for pinstripes. Sounds dead easy !
