Goal Kick

1. For a goal kick, both players are allowed to place their own figures anywhere on the pitch

No attacking figure can be placed inside the opponent's shooting zone

2. For a goal kick, each player places their own figures in their own half ... LAST

3. Figures cannot be placed within 25mm of another figure

4. Only the goal kick taker is permitted in the penalty area

I'm sure that Advanced Rules state that figures cannot be moved forward into the opponents half at a free kick ( that is figures which are in player's own half when goal kick is awarded

Yes ... you're right about the Advanced Rules, JP.
They did put restrictions on where you could move figures when a goal kick was awarded, but these stipulations seem to have been dropped in the Old Subbuteo Rules.
