Does anybody know if the new Subbuteo pitches are being sold separately yet?
If so, for how much and where?
Thanks :-D

Don't think they are beng sold seperately yet Steve. For some reason I think its going to be about £20 ish for the pitch? I played on one for a good 6 hours when we (me, Ad K and Ute) did the in-store demo in Waterstones back in June. In my opinion you're better off using an astropitch or an old baize pitch as the new pitch isn't anything special. It may be slightly thicker than the old nylon pitches but it still creases easily......playing in store straight of the box meant we had quite a few creases despte the kind folk at Waterstones putting books on it the night before to try and reduce the volume of creases. If you've already got pitches you'll just be wasting your money. Alternatively just buy a box set on the cheap, Garry's selling them fo £26 via EASTS. Sell the bits you don't want and it'll near enough pay for itself!

Thanks, Adam. Good advice, much appreciated.
Also trying to source a good cotton for beach soccer arenas at the moment. Or an alternative fabric that plays and looks good.

Cheers Ralph Smile Steve have to tried a Zuego classic pitch ? by far the most impressive pitch i have for taking out of the tube and laying flat to play on straight away, fast playing pitch on a level with extreme, cost on Amazon £53 but you can get them from langleystoys.com for £38 delivered, when you consider the postage cost for other heavy pitches i think its a bargain.

That sounds great, Garry. Think the Zuego pitch looks impressive too.

Did you make all of your club tables, BTW? They look brilliant!

well Garry it was I do believe my goodself who told ISF members that Tesco were knocking them out for 14 quid..despite the fact that I with a PLG trade account have to buy them at 21 each AND buy minimum quantities..still my business has now died quietly after six enjoyable years so who cares...simply repeating the offer in case Steve missed it..

Are we looking at another failed attempt to breathe life back into the old game. It would seem they just can't give 'em away.

Thanks, Jon.
I have a new SuperFooty baize which I love. Was just curious about the new one.
I can see why they haven't started selling them seperately, if the box sets aren't shifting.
Appreciate the offer.

I think that's where it needs to happen, Garry.
My lad's friends all seem very interested when they come for play dates.
Have now successfully sourced a quality sand coloured baize for beach soccer arenas, so may suggest an after school club at his primary.
It's important to have enough tables to keep them all active, I think. There are no offsides to think about and the play quickly switches from a shooting opportunity at one end to a shooting opportunity at the other, and you know how kids need instant gratification these days.
The more frequently they hit the back of a real net with a real ball, the greater the hook.
Smile
