I maybe able to come to this... I would love to meet up with the lads again and of course see the hallowed turf of the Fingers.
I will know nearer the end of the month. I'm awaiting confirmation of a Race training course i'm doing for work which might conflict.
Is that ok?

However, it everyone turns up as well as Spud, Paul, and also Ray appears (He rang me yesterday saying he had seen the Subbuteopia documentary and intends to make it if he can), and someone else also turns up out of the blue, the 14 players would play 6 games each (in 2 groups of 7).

I've got fixture lists for all the other possible combinations, based on:
- Everyone plays in the stadium.
- Everyone plays on most of the other pitches.
- Dee being the producer!!
- We take camera duties on rotation between us.

I reckon there will be a certain amount of playing it by ear on the day.

I agree - Reckon we need to aim for 1pm fingers at the ready for kick-off.
No probs if not all the rounds are played though. As long as we get through 5 or 6, everyone should get their fingers in the stadium...
btw Jim, whatever happens your playing me on the Park Pitch!...check any fixture list you want!

Just putting plans in place for the day, and assuming to get sufficient space for the following 'subbuteossi'...
1. Jon R 2. Leeski 3. John E 4. Jim and Dee 5. Fingers 6. The Saint 7. Gerald 8. Reverend Jim 9. Garry 10. Dave 11. Fabio 12. Ray 13. Kieran and Paula (possible)
...have I missed anyone??
Please let me know on here if you can't make it, or drop me an email (stephen.moreton@attend.org.uk)
Many thanks S.

What can i say WOW!!!!! i think this sums it up for everyone. Many thanks firstly to Steve M for allowing everyone into his house which is just amazing. the stadium looked awsome once again and the other pitches were amazing in their own right. On top of that we were fed and watered with a huge amount of top food, many thanks for david for supplying this. Then that leaves thanks to everyone who attended for making the day so special and a special note to Fabio for making the trip from Italy . Looking forward to the next meet but i think Bracknell is going to struggle to live up to the events of today

I can only double that WOW and a bigger WOW. A fantastic day. Very well organised, great food and drink -a great set of pitches and some truly fantastic people!!!And even a DVD of the event! I cannot thank Steve enough for sorting this out and David for the phone. And for Dave, Gerald, Fabio and Lee for 4 great games. I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer - and once again I thank you for your understanding on this. And Mark my nephew really enjoyed himself as well and is now truly inspired again!.
I'm truly looking forward to the next meeting! That really was something else. Its a fanstatic game, and it good to see some truly special people now playing it with a passion.
My sincere apologies for the studium thing Steve, I hope its not damaged that much!? I felt very bad about that
Once again thank you to Steve for a great meet and to all the people who was there yesterday!!!
All the very best very Ray

Echo Lee and Ray sentiments and everyone else who attended, a truly magnificent day was had by all and many many thanks to Steve for hosting a great event, looking after us all so well and allowing us all the chance to see some really great subbuteo exhibits and play at some fantastic individual pitches. I was in awe for most of the day in what I thought was a great shrine to subbuteo - every time I revisited a room or venue, I saw something or some detail that I hadn't noticed before and had to go back and fetch my camera - the people playing subbuteo in No Mans Land, the subbuteo boxes in the shop window, the snowball throwing 'cricketeers, I could go on and on and the Stadium of Fingers and its room were brilliant.
I had heard people previously comment about playing at Steves before and had seen pictures, but none of that could totally capture what is there (and my own pictures don't do it full justice) and I am extremely pleased that I was able to attend this day out - I doubt that I will ever forget it.
Great day out with a great set of people, Absolutely brilliant.
Oh, and we all got to play some subbuteo as well

All has been said by the guys above and all I have to say is that for me it was an unforgetable day... Unbelievable unless you've attended this meeting, one would not understand what it's like! I'm lost for words. It was lovely to see you guys. the atmosphere being so friendly, full of camaraderie, sportsmanship and a fierce passion for the game. It's almost like checking in a 5* hotel created by Peter Adolph to cater for every Subbuteo need you have. Ha! In this case the mastermind and genius being Mr Moreton. I will never ever forget yesterday :-) Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for looking after us as if we were KINGS. The day was absolutely perfect in every sense of the word. Once again thank you to the KING OF KINGS, Steve Moreton and long live the 'Stade de Fingers shrine and 'The Lionhearts' Club.

On behalf of myself and Dave id like to thank Steve for inviting us along to what turned out to be a truly amazing day you must be congratulated on such attention to detail on all your projects, the stadium of fingers was amazing and i feel honoured to play at such a stadium, not only that but your other pitches are fantastic in their own right, loved playing on the park pitch, reminded me of playing over the fields when i was a kid moving the jumpers about Hospitality was first class, food great and must congratulate and thank the chef and also Dee for her tireless work throughout the day. You all a great bunch of lads and contributed to a all round great experience, something myself and Dave will never forget.
Thanks Steve and all you Lionhearts.

There's not much to add here .I find it very difficult to describe yesterday , you really had to be there It was absolutely magical , memories , that as Gerald says will live forever in the mind . Huge thanks to The Finger and Dave for treating us like royalty . To J R for driving from Maidenhead to Southend and back To Dee for everything she did , trust me guys , today she can hardly move ! To all who played , excellent games , banter , spirit .............Lionhearts to a man .Except Garry's goalkeeper Fabio , what a match we had ! Been 2 and a half years in the making , but was worth the wait , pleased with a point v Millwall To Lee for the spares And finally Gerald , what's to say , couldn't break down your defence , won a throw-in 3 inches from the corner flag , flicked a figure to the left edge of the six yard box , using a throw in figure dropped it straight on me blokes nut , bottom corner winning goal , will never forget the look on your face mate , but you took it like a true gent , top bloke ! Top day ! Thanks to all who made it so

The best goal EVER scored against me mate. The MOTHER of ALL SUBBUTEO GOALS. I'm proud to have been the recipient of your MAJESTIC feat because I witnessed it 'live'. I have NEVER seen anything like it... It crowned an incredible experience in Southend.
As for the day itself, once again beautifully put by you guys who have written down your thoughts about how the day went. I'm still buzzing now ( or maybe someone spiked my drink hehe!).
